Dubai Adventures (Pt. 11) – Aston Martin One-77 at AlAmeer Motors
Dear friends, it’s been a while since we have posted anything on the website and that is due to our laziness mainly (and some holiday distractions) but be sure that we will drop a huge load of articles on you this and next week! Starting the New Year with a post about the amazing and mega exclusive car from Aston Martin – the One-77! Together with our automotive photographer Alex Markovsky (@markovsky) and our big friend Alan (@alan_enileev) we drove to one of the coolest showrooms of the world – Al Ameer Motors (@alameermotors_dubai). We were fortunate enough to see and even sit down in one of the most exclusive cars today!
While I love Aston Martins in general and I’ve seen many DB9s and even DBSs never have I seen a one-77 live and we had to take this opportunity to shoot some proper shots with it, even though they had many more Lambos, Ferraris and Bentleys parked just next to it (this car does not have an equal). With only 77 of them being made this is one of the lucky numbers, and surprisingly has 0 on the kilometres driven.
Of course every detail of the car is just perfect, it has really nice curves, a beautiful V12 engine and goes from 0 to 100 in just 3.5 seconds, with a maximum speed of 350 km/h! Aston Martin has produced it since 2009 and up until 2012 when all of the 77 cars were made.
The watch we placed next to it is the titanium deMonaco ‘Quantieme Perpetual’, one of the lightest and most elegant perpetual calendars I’ve seen. While the watch fits perfectly with this 2 million dollar car it looks just as sexy on its own. The dial is super readable and we can see the day at 9, date at 12 and month at 3 o’clock. The watch also doesn’t have any unnecessary buttons and pushers, everything is done with just the crown! At 6 o’clock (where we also see the week of the year and the year from 1 to 4) we can find an indicator of the watch setting. By pushing the crown in we can set it to change everything from time to month.
The watch is an automatic and it features a very beautiful backside as well as a very conservative front. Price is somewhere north 30 thousand dollars which is very appropriate for a limited edition of 88 perpetual calendar in titanium!
I hope you’ve enjoyed the first article of 2014 about the Aston Martin One-77 and we will definitely continue posting on more regular basis!
